#MadeOnMyPhone 36 hours in Cambodia edition

Posted on May 22, 2017

What do you do when you suddenly realize you need to leave Thailand for a Visa run? Book a last minute flight to Siem Reap to check out the temples of course!

It was my first time in Cambodia, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Ever since I was a kid, I always wanted to be an archaeologist. Not the boring, scholarly type - I mean the fighting Nazis, raiding tombs and jumping off of cliffs type of archaeologist.

We arrived during the annual water festival, an annual religious holiday similar to Song Kran in Thailand, so we went out to explore Pub Street to join the party.

Surprisingly, Vicky only got mad at me once, so I must have done something right!

The next day we were off to the temples! After sitting in traffic for two hours (who knew that everybody would be going to the temples on a religious journey), we finally made it to the temples.

Needless to say, walking through the temple ruins in Siem Reap rekindled those Indiana Jones dreams. Maybe it's time for a career change...
